Indian television and film actor (born 1958)

Mukesh Khanna (born 23 June 1958), is an Indian actor, talk show host, and producer who works in Hindi-language films and television shows.

He is best known for his portrayal of Shaktimaan, the superhero character in the self-created television series Shaktimaan (1997–2005) and Bhishma in BR Chopra's Mahabharat (1988–1990), and also for his appearances in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara (2012–2013).

Early life and education

Khanna was born into a Punjabi Hindu family with roots in Multan and Dipalpur, cities located in today's Punjab province of Pakistan, from where his family migrated to Mumbai (then Bombay) due to the 1947 partition.^[4]

Following his higher education at Mumbai's St.
